Greg traveling to the 4th National Grazing Lands Conference.
Greg is traveling to Sparks, Nevada to attend the 4th National Grazing Lands Conference where he will be
co-defending a paper with Rose Fosdick(December 13th-17th).
Greg travels to Portland Oregon.
Greg headed to Portland Oregon (December 6th-8th) to meet up with Antony Bakke & tour the facilities
used in the Immunology Study.
Greg Attended the CARMA Conference December 4th-6th
Greg attended the CARMA(The CircumArctic Rangifer Monitoring & Assessment Network) Conference in Vancouver betwween December 4th and 6th. The theme of the conference was "Beyond Inventory-Synthesis". Conference presentations can be found here.

RRP Market Steer Project First Year Progress
The RRP's Market Steer Project began in 2008, and three of the project's first year animals will be the first reindeer to be auctioned off at the Tanana Valley State Fair.

RRP Crew Attending Summer Handlings
Darrell, Melody & Leslie are headed to Nome on June 9th to begin preparations for summer reindeer handlings &
Leslie's project field work. Suzanne and Greg will be going to Nome later this month.

2009 calf count: 21. Help us name them!
We are expecting up to 32 reindeer calves this year. Our first 2009 calf was born early in the morning on 4/07/2009. As of the lastest check there are a total of 21 calves: 11 Males and 10 Females
Please help us name our 2009 calves!
4-H Market Steer Program Deadline April 24th!
4-H is currently accepting applications for adopting reindeer for the 2009 Market Steer Program.

Greg will be running in the Boston Marathon on Monday 4/20/2009
Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference April 6-10
Greg, George, Michelle & Leslie will be traveling to Nome to attend the Western Alaska Interdisciplinary Science Conference in Nome April 6-10.
Greg will be chairing the session: Subsistence and Reindeer Herding. George, Michelle and Leslie will be making presentations.

Greg will be attending The Reindeer Owners and Breeders Association(ROBA) annual membership meeting in
Gatlingburg Tennessee from March 15th to March 17th.

Greg, Darrell, George, Michelle and Leslie attended the annual RHA meeting in Nome March 3rd-March 5th.
Meat Production class.
Greg and George traveled to Nome to teach a Meat production class March 2nd, 3rd, & 6th at the UAF Northwest campus..
